Intensive Russian Strikes Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes overnight. A minor died and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks come after evenings of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with attacks already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were bracing for further attacks.
